Case Study – The British Emporium – Lighting Scheme

The Lighting Scheme Brief

We were contacted by The British Emporium after meeting them at the Autumn Fair trade show.  Their brief was to create a feature lighting scheme for over the sales counter for their new concept store The British Emporium, in Bakewell, Derbyshire.

Their store in Bakewell was undergoing a £200K refit to become their pilot British Emporium store.

ARCFORM was provided with visuals of the store refit, along with plans and elevations.

ARCFORM was selected due to the unique lighting designs and due to being a British brand, fitting with the ethos of The British Emporium.

Lighting Scheme Options

We presented The British Emporium with 4 options, shown in the mock-ups below.  It was important that the lighting didn’t obscure the British Emporium logo and wording behind that cash desk, whilst still making an impact.

British Emporium selected scheme 3, this scheme was selected as it was felt that the ARC 3 cascades, perfectly framed the cash desk.
